Doris Wipperling

Doris D. Wipperling, age 97, passed away July 14, 2024 at Rose Vista Nursing Home in Woodbine, Iowa.

She was born August 4, 1926, to the late Archie J. and Anna (Sillau) Armstrong in Logan, Iowa. Doris graduated as Valedictorian from Logan High School with the class of 1944. She then taught school for 8 years and later was a bookkeeper for Kovar Insurance Agency for 19 years and also worked part-time for Mutual of Omaha for 11 years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Jannette Gunderson; sisters, Wanda, Marian, Dorothea Ann and brothers-in-law.

Doris is survived by son-in-law, Ervin Gunderson; grandson, Errin (Traci) Gunderson; granddaughter, Betsy (Terry) Mayfield; great-grandchildren, Tristin, Ellie and Tanner Gunderson and Dayzee Mayfield; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 10:30 - 11:00 AM at Logan Christian Church on Wednesday, July 17, 2024.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM at Logan Christian Church on Wednesday, July 17, 2024. Burial will be in the Logan Cemetery.
