Duane Bolte

Duane Philip Bolte passed away peacefully in his sleep on April 13th, 2024 at Bethany Lutheran after a lifelong battle with Crohn's disease and many other chronic conditions. Duane was born to the late Irwin Frank Bolte and Delores Mae Kohl on December 13th, 1962 in Council Bluffs, IA. He was the youngest of 4 children.

Duane is preceded in death by his father, Irwin Bolte, and all his siblings-David Bolte, Ralph Bolte, and Linda Ahart (Dan), as well as his niece, Lynne Ahart.

Duane leaves behind his loving mother, matriarch, and his caretaker of many years, Delores Bolte of Council Bluffs; his nieces Leah Johnson (Josh) of Council Bluffs, Erin Moore (Justin) of Council Bluffs, and Royce Morse of Neola; his nephews George Bolte and Lucas Ahart, both of Council Bluffs; 7 great-nieces and nephews; many supportive friends and caretakers; and his loyal companion, Sami the Cat.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM at Church of Christ on Friday, April 19, 2024.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM at Church of Christ on Friday, April 19, 2024. Interment is in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Friends and family are welcome to gather for lunch at Council Bluffs Church of Christ at 1525 McPherson Ave following the service. Your presence and support during this time of mourning are deeply appreciated by Delores Bolte.
