Eldon A. Brooks

Eldon A. Brooks, age 75, passed away January 29, 2018. He was born April 30, 1942, in Holdrege, NE to the late Esco and Bernice Brooks.

Eldon served in the U.S. Navy aboard the U.S.S. Kitty Hawk from 1959 to 1963. He served 20 years, with the Council Bluffs Fire Department as Captain before his retirement in 1995.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister, Marilyn Rosenthal; brothers, Terry and Jack Brooks.

Survived by wife of 44 years, Connie Brooks; children, Pamela Steele, Todd Brooks (Brandy), and Aaron Brooks; grandchildren, Spencer Steele and Sabrina Steele; and sister, Rosemary Brooks.

A Celebration of Life service Saturday, 2 p.m., at Hoy-Kinoski Funeral Home. Memorials may be directed to the Council Bluffs Public Library in Eldon’s name.
