Eldon Frohardt of rural Council Bluffs went to be with his Savior, Jesus Christ on March 20, 2017.
He was born in Council Bluffs on August 23, 1933 to the late Walter and Elsie (Knickman) Frohardt. He graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School and then served his country in the United States Army. He and his wife Janet (Borwick) farmed for many years. He also worked for the City of Omaha in Public Works.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 4 premature babies; brothers, Merlin, Melvin and Wayne; sister, Lorna Knudsen; sister-in-law, Virginia Frohardt; brothers-in-law, Richard Knudsen and Wesley Harwood.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Janet; sisters-in-law, Esther and Lucille Frohardt and Barbara Harwood; brother-in-law, Richard Borwick (Judith); many nieces and nephews.
Open visitation all day Friday. A private interment will take place on Saturday morning in the Cedar Lawn Cemetery. Family and friends will then gather for a memorial service at 11:00a.m. on Saturday at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. A luncheon and reception will follow in the community room at Hoy-Kilnoski.
Memorials are suggested to the family and will be given to Missionaries that Eldon and Janet are helping to support.
