Enos E. Nelson

Enos E. Nelson of Council Bluffs passed away August 22, 2012. He was born August 11, 1930 in Farragut, Iowa to the late Edward & Anna (Kemper) Nelson. He retired in 1996 as a maintenance engineer at Iowa Western Community College. He was a proud member of the Cosmopolitan Club and avid volunteer at Jennie Edmundson Memorial Hospital. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his step-daughter, Karen Roberts; 2 sisters, Agnes Hopkins and Lois Walter; brother, Stanley Nelson; grandson, William Cole Barrett; great grandchildren, Nathan Gammell; Cierra, Chylan, Coen Fender Enos is survived by his wife, Marjorie Nelson, children, Judy Irby, Patricia Allmon, Peggy Brightbill (Phil), JoAnn Fender (David), Terry Nelson (Terri), Vicki Ladd (Dennis), Debra Elliston, Jacqueline Barrett (William), Shelly Lang (Claude), Shari Whitehead (Steve), Loretta Robinson (Dean); step children, Cathy Lau (Ron), Terry Erwin, Deb Hastie (Butch), Susan Tiffey (Leonard), Susan Bamford (Tom), Cyndi Merriam (Dan), Scott Andersen (Laurie); sisters, Betty Van Ness (Lyle), Shirley Farrell; brother, Delbert Nelson (Dolores); many grandchildren and great grandchildren; a host of other family and friends. Visitation is Friday 6-8PM at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Funeral service is Saturday 10AM at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Cedar Lawn Cemetery followed by a reception in the community room at Hoy-Kilnoski. The family will direct memorials.
