Erma “Jean” Baker

Erma “Jean” (Smith) Baker, age 90, passed away February 7, 2019.

She was born in rural Council Bluffs on November 10, 1928 to the late Edward and Blanche (Foster) Smith.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Baker; son, Terry Baker; brother, Harold Smith; sisters, Maxine Meckna and Gerry Rhodes.

Jean is survived by her sons; Randy Baker (Eva) and Bill Baker (Jennine); daughter-in-law, Margaret Baker; siblings, Wilma Cooper, Shirley Anderson, Judy Schroder (Earl), Marilyn McIntosh, Carol Lindsy, Darrell Smith (Gerry), Roger Smith; 9 grandchildren; great grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.

Visitation is 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Sunday at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Funeral service is 11:00 a.m. on Monday also at the funeral home. Interment is in Garner Township Cemetery. The family will direct memorials.
