F. Fred Farris

F. Fred Farris, age 90, of Council Bluffs passed away at his home on June 7, 2016. He was born in Murdo, South Dakota on December 17, 1925 to the late Fred and Edith (Lee) Farris. Fred proudly served his country in the United States Navy during World War II. Fred was an auto body repairman and was the owner and operator of Farris Body Shop for over 28 years. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Beaulah and Inez; brother, Charles. Fred is survived by his wife of 70 years, Barbara Farris; sons, Thomas Farris and Rex Farris; grandchildren, Shannon Farris, Kelly Farris, Dustin Farris, Aaron Farris (Niki), Ashley Strasser (Trent), Brooke Farris and Nicholas Barbour (Kimberly); 11 great grandchildren and a host of other family and friends. Memorial service is 7:00 p.m. on Friday June 10, 2016 at Saint John Lutheran Church 633 Willow Avenue in Council Bluffs. The family will receive friends with light refreshments during the hour prior to the service. Memorials are suggested to Saint John Lutheran Church.
