Fred "Sonny" L. James

Fred L. “Sonny” James, age 79, of Council Bluffs passed away December 18, 2016 at Methodist Jennie Edmundson Hospital.

He was born in Marianna, Arkansas on April 13, 1937 to the late Charles and Lucille (Ledbetter) James. Sonny was the longtime owner of Corum’s Flowers and was a member of Broadway Christian Church.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, William Bert James.

Sonny is survived by his wife of 38 years, Janice (Hendrix) James; children, Pam Cyboron and her husband Wayne, Barbara James and Bradley James; sister and brother-in-law, Patsy and Albert Ramsey; grandsons and their wives, Joshua and Tara Cyboron, Steven and Rachel Cyboron, Ryan and Kim Cyboron; 12 great grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.

Visitation is 6:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. on Wednesday at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Funeral service is 10:00a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Interment is in the Fairview Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Broadway Christian Church or Lewis Township Fire and Rescue.
