Gary L. Driver, age 86, passed away at CHI Mercy Hospital on October 3, 2023.
He was born in Council Bluffs, Iowa, on April 22, 1937, to the late Thomas and Mary Driver. Gary proudly served his country in the United States Army and retired from Griffin Pipe after 30 years of service. He was a member of Gethsemane Presbyterian Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Judy A. Driver; siblings, Mary Schafer, Lucille Kay, Patricia Keegen, Frances Driver, Evelyn Ploen, Fritz Driver, Frank Driver, Dean Driver, and Thomas Driver.
Gary is survived by his children Bob (Bev) Driver, Randy (Julie) Driver and daughter Becky (Mike) Riehle; five grandchildren Patrick Driver, Tyler (KayAnn) Driver, Sara (Justin) Skidmore, Rachel (Ty) Valdez, and Lora (Chris) Oliver; and seven great-grandchildren Keaton, Mary, Evelyn, Josie, Naomi, Eloise, and Thomas; siblings Brian "Butch" (Judy) Driver, Lillian Scott, and Jo Nelle (Bob) Walker; nieces, nephews, and cousins. Memorial service will be held at Gethsemane Presbyterian Church, 224 Wallace Ave, Council Bluffs on Saturday, October 7, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. with a visitation one hour prior to services. A luncheon will be held at the church following the service.
