George Cenovich

George Cenovich of Council Bluffs passed away on May 11, 2015. He was born to the late Steve and Julia (Weber) Cenovich on January 26, 1927 in Omaha, NE. George was an accountant and owned an accounting and tax practice in Council Bluffs for the past 64 years. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a graduate of the Academy of Accountancy. On June 16, 1951, he was united in marriage to Elaine Wulff. He was a member of the New Horizon Presbyterian Church. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Steven and John. George is survived by his wife, Elaine, two sons, William of Omaha and Michael of New York City, two grandchildren, Jonathon (Jack) and Claire Cenovich of Omaha, and sister, Rosemary Gross of Omaha. Visitation is Thursday 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm at Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Funeral service is Friday 10:00 am at the funeral home. Interment is in the Fairview Cemetery in Council Bluffs. Following the committal service, a luncheon will be held in the Hoy-Kilnoski Community Room. Memorials are suggested to the Council Bluffs Public Library or the Wabash Trace Nature Trail.
