George R. Gardner

George R. Gardner, 72 years, of Bedford, Iowa passed away at the Bedford Specialty Care early Monday morning, May 1, 2017. He was born in Council Bluffs, November 8, 1944 to Raymond and Edna (Points) Gardner. He served his country in the United States Army during the Viet Nam War. He worked for Norm’s Sewer and retired from the Council Bluffs School System after many years as custodian.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Edna Gardner and his sister, Dorothy.

He is survived by his wife, Linda; his daughter Jodie (Tim) King; grandson, Travis Tompkins; granddaughters, Taylor and Jenna King; brother, Larry Gardner; nieces and nephews.



Visitation with the family will be Thursday 1 to 2PM at the Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home. At 2PM the cortege will leave for the Crescent Cemetery for a graveside service. Military honors will be conducted by the American Legion Rainbow Post # 2
