Gerald A. Palmer, 84 years, died 4-21-2017 in Omaha, Nebraska. Born April 18, 1933 in Council Bluffs, to the late George and Rose (Sanders) Palmer, he has lived most of his lifetime in Council Bluffs. He served his country in the United States Army and worked many years as an installer for the Western Electric Co.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Paul; his sister, Peggy Holmes and husband Rex; sister in law, Susan Palmer; brother in law, Jerry Butters and a granddaughter, Atira Palmer.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon Broadway-Palmer; his daughter, Jeannie (Kevin) Palmer-Wadding; sons, Greg (Marylou) Palmer and Brian (Erica) Palmer; stepdaughter, Lisa Marie (Helen) Broadway-Savage; 7 grandchildren; brother, Dale Palmer; sister, Darlene Butters; sisters in law, Glenda Palmer and Janet (Ray) Thompson; many nieces and nephews.
Visitation with the family will be Friday evening between the hours of 6 and 8 PM at the Hoy – Kilnoski Funeral Home. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home Saturday morning at 10:30AM to go in cortege to the Cedar Lawn Cemetery for a graveside service at 11AM.
The family will direct memorials.
