Gerald Danker

Gerald C. Danker, age 87, passed away peacefully on September 18, 2023.

He was born February 6, 1936, to the late Claus and Wilma (Hagedorn) Danker in Council Bluffs, IA. Gerald graduated from Oakland High School with the class of 1954 and was a lifelong farmer. In fact, he still lived on the home place which was declared a Century Farm in 2012.

 In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, Janice Knott, Donna Rae Schueman, and Lois Rattenborg.

 Gerald is survived by his wife of 62 years, Diane Danker; children and their spouses, Kim (Art) Wells, Kerry (Andrea) Danker, Kyle (Scott) Rogers, and Kelly (Tasha) Danker; siblings, Joann Lockwood, Leila (Gerald) Zimmerman, and Sandra Madron; brother-in-law, Keith Rattenborg; grandchildren, Steph (Ryan) Peetz, Nick (Kelsey) Wells, Lynnsey (Joe) Hargens, Christian (Paige) Danker, Ashtyn Danker, Kale Rogers, Lexis (Nick) Paulsen, Hannah Henderson, and Ethan (Hannah) Henderson; 11 great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of other family and friends.

It was Gerald's wish to be cremated and there will be no services.
