Giselle Roenfeld, age 63, passed away at Glen Haven Home on March 27, 2021. She was born July 24, 1957 to Virgil and Norma (Meisinger) Roenfeld in Omaha, NE. She was baptized on August 11, 1957 at St. John's Lutheran Church. She was later confirmed on May 21, 1972. She graduated from Glenwood High School in 1975. Later after high school she worked at several local area businesses. Giselle enjoyed collecting John Deere everything, flamingos, rubber duckies and playing with her dogs. She had the gift of gab; she was very social and enjoyed meeting new people from all walks of life. She grew up on a farm outside of Mineola and had fond memories of her childhood with family and friends. Her pride and joy were her boys Paul and Doug.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by ex-husband, Charles Heitman III; uncle, Dennis Meisinger;
Giselle is survived by sons, Paul (Melissa) Heitman and Doug (Lindsey Schomaker) Heitman; grandchildren, Kenny Heitman, Gabriel Heitman, Gavin Heitman; cousins and a host of family and friends.
The family would like to send a special thanks to the staff at Glen Haven Villiage, St. Croix Hospice and the Nebraska Medical Center.
Visitation will be held Saturday, April 3, 2021 from 9:30 am to 11:00 am with a Memorial Service to follow starting at 11:00 a.m. at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home.
Inurnment will be held following services at Mineola Cemetery. There will be a luncheon following at Mineola Community Center.
The family will direct memorials.
