Gordon L. Enewold

Gordon L. Enewold, age 73 of Council Bluffs passed away February 28, 2013 while on a snowmobile trip in Utah. He was born March 14, 1939 in Council Bluffs to the late Arthur N. and Florence G. (Gilchrist) Enewold. He graduated from Emerson High School and served in the United States Navy. He was a member of the Southwest Iowa Snowscooters and rode with the S&W Adventure Riders of Colorado. He will be remembered as a life long, award winning farmer and snowmobiler. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his niece, Sheryl K. Johnson; brothers-in-law, Henry Johnson and James England; sister-in-law, Charlene England. Gordon is survived by his wife, Lynette to whom he married August 7, 1971; son and daughter-in-law, Michael & Susan Enewold; daughter and son-in-law, Theresa & Eric Vacanti; grandchildren, Samantha Enewold and Dustin Enewold; sister, Jacqueline Johnson; niece, Christine Bostrom and her husband, James; sister-in-law, Lois England; a host of other family and friends. Visitation will be Tuesday 6-8PM at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Funeral service is Wednesday 10:30AM at the funeral home. Interment is in the St. Paul’s Evangelical Country Church Cemetery at Dumfries. Memorials are suggested to the Muscular Dystrophy Association or to St. Paul’s for their sound system.
