Grace E. Mccoy

Grace Elizabeth McCoy, age 88, passed away December 19, 2014 at Mercy Hospital in Council Bluffs. She was born June 30, 1926 in Honey Creek, Iowa to Bert and Nora (Wright) Knapp. She was united in marriage to Sidney McCoy. The couple had two children: Angel and Martin. Grace was proud to say she had worked at Quest, formerly US West, for over 42 years before her retirement in 1989. She was a proud and an active member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bert and Nora (Wright) Knapp; husband, Sidney McCoy; brother, Bert Knapp; and sister, Vera Morrison. She is survived by her daughter, Angel Johnston (David); son, Martin McCoy; grandchildren: Kristin McCoy, Lindsey McCoy, Leah Weil (Brian) and Marcella Johnston; great grandson, Eric McCoy; great granddaughters: Gracielle Weil, Evelyne Weil and Elise Weil; sister Norma Morrison (Ed); many nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. Visitation with the family will be Sunday from 2-4PM in the Hoy-Kilnoski Community Room. A private family burial will be held at Ridgewood Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the Community of Christ Church in Crescent.
