Harlan B. Klahn

Harlan B. Klahn, age 85, of Treynor, Iowa passed away September 28, 2015 at the Hospice with Heart Hospice House in Glenwood, Iowa. He was born in Treynor, Iowa on September 10, 1930 to the late August and Helen (Timm) Klahn. Harlan graduated from Treynor High School with the class of 1948 and was a lifetime farmer of rural Treynor. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Treynor. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Mae (Schnepel) Klahn; sons, Keith Klahn and Stanley Klahn; sons-in-law, Dan Sigler and Mark Ryan; brother, Robert Peterson. Harlan is survived by his daughters, Diane Johnson (David), Doreen Casson (Wes), Kathy Ryan, Lisa Buchele (Mel); daughter-in-law, Charlene Klahn; brother, Duane Klahn; 12 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and a host of other family and friends. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Friday with a memorial service to start at 11:00 a.m. at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Inurnment will be later that afternoon in the St. Paul Lutheran Church Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to St. Paul Lutheran Church or Treynor Fire and Rescue.
