Harold E. Allen

Harold E. “Gene” Allen, age 91, of Council Bluffs passed away October 24, 2017.

He was born in Carson, Iowa on January 11, 1926 to the late Vivian and Gladys Allen. Harold proudly served his country in the United States Army and was a career truck driver. He was a member of Carson United Methodist Church.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Verna Yeager and grandson, Dustin Henry.

Harold is survived by his wife, Janice Allen; children, Michael Allen (Deb), Marlin Allen (Shirley), Cindy Johnson (Butch), Mark Allen (Pam), Scott Allen (Sharon); step-children, Joyce Isaacson (Monte), Shelly Swope (Steve), Rick Osweiler (Jennifer); special extended family, Taunjia Higdon (Jim); grandchildren, great grandchildren and a great-great grandchild.

A memorial service will begin at 12:00p.m. on Saturday at the Carson United Methodist Church in Carson, Iowa. Visitation will be that morning beginning at 10:00a.m. Inurnment will be at a later date in the Omaha National Cemetery.
