Harold R Mass

Harold R. Mass, age 76, of Council Bluffs passed away at his home on June 9, 2017.

He was born in Council Bluffs on November 3, 1940 to the late Adolf and Mayme (Ott) Mass. Harold retired after a career with Lyman-Richey as a shop superintendent.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Charles Mass; sisters, Helen Foster, Darlene Franks, Lois Robertson and Clara Brosam; infant granddaughter, Faith Elizabeth.

Harold is survived by his wife of 57 years, Mary Mass; children, Lisa Smith (Mike), Lana Schmidt, Julie Good (Dale), Jacqueline Reumund, Ian Mass (Joann) and Julianna Beam (Zach); brother, Clay Mass; sisters, Fran Smith (Ralph) and Jean Hollins (Virgil); 12 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation is 6:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. on Monday June 12, 2017 at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Funeral service is 10:00a.m. on Tuesday June 13, 2017 at the funeral home. Interment is in Cedar Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Hospice of Southwest Iowa.
