Hazel Irene Hicks

Hazel Irene Hicks, age 87, of Council Bluffs passed away May 6, 2016. She was born August 27, 1928 in Seymour, MO to the late Leonard and Blanche (Harris) Looper. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Hicks; grandson, Ricky Harris; granddaughter, Dawn Warren; siblings, Lee, Lois and Larry and grandson, Garrie Milburn. She is survived by her children: Betty (Tim) McDowell, Barbara Warren, Phyllis Brink, Beverly MacCallum, Lindi (Don) Daniels, Gary Hicks, and Brenda (John) Way; 19 grandchildren; many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; sister, Leta Barr; and half-brother, Gene (Charlotte) Thompson. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6:00-8:00 p.m., at Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Wednesday 10:30 a.m., at the funeral home. Burial in Cedar Lawn Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to St. Croix Hospice in Hazels honor.
