Helen Harter

Helen Harter, age 84, passed away November 11, 2021.

She was born March 20, 1937 to the late Fred "Ted" and Donnie (Coleson) Anderson in Council Bluffs, IA.

Helen retired from the Council Bluffs Community Schools after 25 years in the lunch program.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Harter; son, Rodney Harter; siblings, Lorena Jeffries, Jimmie Anderson, Fred Anderson, Donna Marie Gerkin and Gary Anderson.

Helen is survived by her son, Roger (Roseanne) Harter; daughter-in-law, Julie Harter; grandson, Kevin (Samantha) Harter, Shannon (Allan) Vargas, Courtney Harter, Kyle Harter; sister, Janice Gunderson; sister-in-law, Judy Anderson; 6 great grandchildren; a host of other family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Thursday, November 18, 2021.

Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Friday, November 19, 2021. The family will direct memorials.
