Irwin F. Maaske

Irwin F. Maaske, age 90 of Council Bluffs passed away January 15, 2012 at Mercy Hospital. He was born May 10, 1921 on his family?s farm between Logan and Magnolia, Iowa. Irwin proudly served his Country in the United States Army during World War II. He attended Business College in Omaha and worked for Fairmount Foods, Andersen Mercantile and then retired from the Field Club of Omaha. Irwin is preceded in death by his parents, Henry & Rosa (Block) Maaske and his wife, Phyllis Jane (Trowbridge) Maaske. Irwin is survived by his sons, Rich Maaske & his wife, Diane and Jim Maaske; grandsons, Scott Maaske & his wife, Sara and Steven Maaske & his wife, Renee; great grandchildren, Emerson, Charlotte and Jacob. Visitation is Wednesday 6-8PM at Timothy Lutheran Church. Funeral service is Thursday 11AM at the church. A reception will follow the service in the church hall. Interment will take place after the reception in the Logan, Iowa Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Timothy Lutheran Church.
