Irwin Gerald Scott

Irwin G. Scott, age 94, passed away May 5, 2015 at Primrose Retirement Community. He was born in rural Underwood, Iowa on April 24, 1921 to the late Isaac and Mae (Klopping) Scott. He graduated from Underwood High School with the class of 1939. He attended Iowa State College and then returned home to farm. He was a lifelong farmer and was the owner of Farm Power Inc. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister and brother-in-law, Ardis and Don Strohbehn. Irwin is survived by his wife of 70 years, Catherine Scott; son and daughter-in-law, Rick and Jane Scott; daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Mark Schaefer; 4 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Visitation is Friday 6:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Funeral service is Saturday 10:30a.m. at the funeral home. Interment is in the Fisher Cemetery in Underwood, Iowa.
