Iva G. Bachman

Iva G. Bachman, age 80, of Council Bluffs passed away July 20, 2016. She was born at home in Glidden, Iowa on June 28, 1936 to the late Earl H. and Edith M. (Alley) Shaw. Iva was the longtime hostess at Bishops Buffet at the Midlands Mall. In her retirement, she worked as a nurses aid at Lewis Central Schools. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Ronald Shaw; sisters, Alta Cron and Hermene Carper; granddaughter, Mollie Ann Kutchara. Iva is survived by her companion, Jim Cozad; son, Robert Bob Bachman (Debra); daughters, Debra Naughton (Greg), Rebecca Minturn, Barbara Workman (Scott); sisters, Helen Sullivan (Gary) and Linda Bonacci; grandchildren, Cori Zarek, Jamie Zarek, Lyndsay Schaben (Jon), Scott Workman, Samuel Minturn, Jared Workman, Alexis Workman, Katie Fordd (Dominic) and Billy Jones (Alicia); great grandchildren, Paige, Gavin, Carter MAK, Courtney, Kamryn, Victor, Chase and Rhett; a host of other family and friends. Visitation is 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Funeral service is 11:00 a.m. on Monday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital.
