Jack L. Doty

Jack L. Doty, age 82, of Council Bluffs passed away January 31, 2015 at Risen Son Christian Village. He was born in Council Bluffs on August 28, 1932 to the late Harry and Maxine Doty. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. He retired from the city of Council Bluffs as a superintendent of the street department. His career with the city lasted 42 years. Jack was a longtime member of First Christian Church. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Doty; son, Scott Doty; sisters, Marge and Dixie; brothers, Larry and Joseph. Jack is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Steve & Debbie Doty and David & Keli Doty; sister and brother-in-law, Jean & Larry Jones; 4 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Visitation is Tuesday 6-8PM at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Funeral service is Wednesday 10AM at the funeral home. Interment is in Cedar Lawn Cemetery followed by a luncheon in the community room at Hoy-Kilnoski. Memorials are suggested to First Christian Church or the American Cancer Society.
