James A. Peterson

James A. Peterson, age 77, passed away February 25, 2015 at Methodist Jennie Edmundson Hospital. He was born in Castana, Iowa on November 19, 1937 to the late Axel and Della Peterson. He was a well-known mechanic for many years and loved to sing karaoke. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Charles and Burt Peterson; brother-in-law, Kent Cattlett. James is survived by his children, Laura Weatherill (Roger), Larry Peterson (Carolyn), Brian Peterson, Christie Hutson (Mark), Tracy Poe, Kevin Peterson (Gail); sisters, Anna Bobier, Ruth Cattlett, Mary Peterson, Don Peterson (Susie), Jerry Peterson (Carol); sister-in-law, Helen Peterson; 16 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Visitation is Thursday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Memorial service is Friday at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home followed by a luncheon in the community room at Hoy-Kilnoski. The family will direct memorials.
