James E. Rice

James E. Rice, age 83 passed away August 1, 2013. He was born in Council Bluffs on May 2, 1930 to the late Burdsil & Anna (Leisure) Rice. Jim was self-employed in Real Estate. He was a member of the Chevy Car Club and was active with the Gene Autry Museum in Oklahoma. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Burdsil Bud Rice; sister, Charlotte Raes. Jim is survived by his wife, Betty Rice; sons and daughters-in-law, James Butch & Theresa Rice and Gene Rocky & Barbara Rice; sister, Beth Ann Johnson; 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandson. Visitation is Friday 6-8PM at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Funeral service is Saturday 1030AM at the funeral home. Interment is in the Hazel Dell Cemetery followed by a reception in the community room at Hoy-Kilnoski. The family will direct memorials.
