James Michael Freeman

James Michael Freeman, age 68, of Council Bluffs, passed away May 12, 2016, at his home. He was born in Lowell, MA on December 25, 1947 to the late Edward and Betty (Loomis) Freeman. James graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in the class of 1966. He was an US Army veteran. He retired from Griffin Pipe in 2012. James enjoyed gardening, camping, fishing and visiting with friends and neighbors. James is survived by daughter; Erin Freeman, son; Mike Freeman (Amy), grandchildren; Daniel Shamblen, Alex and Maddy Freeman, brother; Edward Freeman (Kay) and a host of family and friends. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home with visitation during the hour prior. Inurnment will be at Cedar Lawn Cemetery. A luncheon will follow the committal service in the community room at Hoy-Kilnoski. Memorials may be directed to the family.
