James R. Munson

James R. Munson, age 89, passed away January 29, 2018.

He was born in Council Bluffs, Iowa on June 20, 1928 to the late Roy and Toncha (Eckert) Munson. Jim proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. and retired from the Union Pacific Railroad.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter, Debby Barger.

Jim is survived by his wife, Joy Munson; children, Cindy Mirfield (Joe), David Young, Laura Olsen (Bob); Diana Inberg (John), Lisa Carter (Greg); sister, Tonchita Palmisano; 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Memorial service is 6:00p.m. on Wednesday followed by visitation until 8:00p.m. at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
