James Raymon Minshall

James "Jim" Raymon Minshall, Sr., age 71, of Council Bluffs passed away September 17, 2014 in Omaha, Nebraska. Jim was born October 7, 1942 in Bassett, Nebraska to the late Walter G. and Agnes B. (Kleckner) Minshall. He was the owner/operator of JR's Jewelry & Gifts in Omaha. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, William, Robert and Elmer; sister, Donna Vanderbeek. Jim is survived by his wife, Marlena Minshall; son, James Minshall, Jr., daughter, Tracey Bland; granddaughter, Willow Bland; sisters, Darline Blake and husband Clyde and Elner Gartin and husband Ray; and many other family and friends. Visitation will be Sunday from 4:00-6:00 p.m. with a prayer service beginning at 6:00 p.m. at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be Monday 10:00 a.m. at St. John's on the campus of Creighton University. Interment will be in the Westlawn-Hillcrest Cemetery in Omaha, Nebraska. The family will direct memorials.
