James Tijerina

James A. Tijerina, age 56, passed away on April 10, 2025.

He was born January 20, 1969 to Manuel and Mary Lou (Mercado) Tijerina in Council Bluffs, IA. James graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School with the class of 1987. He was a craftsman with Whiting-Turner Contracting Company.

He was preceded in death by his cousin, Rudy Gonzales.

James is survived by his wife, Amy Tijerina; children, Jackson and Jade; parents, Manuel and Mary Lou Tijerina; siblings, Manuel Tijerina Jr. and Ruth (Mark Hagen) Tijerina; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins; a host of other family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Saturday, April 19, 2025.

Funeral Service will be held at 5:00 PM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Saturday, April 19, 2025. The family will direct memorials.
