James Westphal

James Westphal, age 85 passed away the eve of June 11th, 2023 in Omaha Nebraska. He was born July 6th, 1937 to Helen Frenken & Raymond Hager in Pocahontas, Arkansas and was later adopted by Elmer “Dutch” Westphal, husband of Helen Westphal, of Council Bluffs, Iowa.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Helen Westphal; father, Dutch Westphal; biological father, Raymond Hager; and daughter, Terri Westphal.

He is survived by his brother, Fred (Sandy) Westphal; sisters, Memory (Dick) Mescher, Charlotte & Shirley; children, Teresa Meyer, Toni (Todd) Justice, James (Lori) Westphal Jr., Jennifer Westphal; 9 grandchildren; and 18 great grandchildren.

James proudly served his country in the U.S Air Force and later retired from the U.S Postal service in Omaha Nebraska.

Memorial service is Friday, June 16, 2023, 2:00 p.m., at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home.
