Janet Sue "Susie" Jacobs

Born to Jim and Jean Jacobs in Peoria, IL on December 20, 1955. Janet was the second of six children, the oldest daughter. She was called Susie by family members because her older brother wanted a baby sister with a blond pony tail named Susie.

Janet graduated from Lewis Central High School in 1974. She attended Iowa Western Community College. She was one of a few women enrolled in the computer programming program. She was employed at various companies in Omaha using these computer skills. She has worked for Walmart for the past 13 years.

Janet loved to cook and bake. She would often take food and treats to her work friends. She loved to crochet and everyone in the family got many afghans over the years. She loved to read. She loved dogs and has had several over the past few years - Duchess and Spot.

"Susie" will be deeply missed by her four younger sisters and nieces and nephews.

Memorial visitation will be at the Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Sunday December 3, 2023, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
