Janette E. Martin

Janette E. Martin, age 81, of Council Bluffs passed away at her home on March 9, 2015 with her family at her side. She was born in Council Bluffs on May 8, 1933 to the late Victor J. and Lydia M. (Biggart) Harrod. She married Arnold Martin Sr. on April 22, 1950 in Omaha, Nebraska and together they had 6 children. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her daughter, Linda Hess; sisters, Marjorie Yochum, Dorothy Monroe and Donna Mudra; brother, Victor Jim Harrod; great grandchildren, Zachary Millage, Halie Millage and Brittany Hartmann. Janette is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Arnold Martin Sr.; children, Arnette Brayman (Monty), Cindy Baumbach (Mike), Tami Carter (Michel), Dorothy Ratay (Tommy), Arnold Martin Jr.(Sharon); 20 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren. Visitation is Thursday 6-8PM at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Funeral service is Friday 2PM at the funeral home. Interment is in Memorial Park Cemetery followed by a luncheon in the community room at Hoy-Kilnoski. The family will direct memorials.
