John Fisher

John "Scott" Fisher, born May 25th, 1964, to parents Wendel, and Carolyn (Lamer) Fisher in Council Bluffs, Iowa, passed away peacefully at University of Nebraska Medical Center on November 7th, 2023, surrounded by his family.

Scott graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School class of 1982 and went on to obtain his culinary degree from Metro Community College. In his lifetime, Scott worked various jobs within his community including Produce Manager at HyVee. Dogs became his true passion, and he went on to raise countless Shih Tzu puppies, each of which he loved dearly.

He was preceded in death by his father, Wendel Fisher.

Scott is survived by his children, Shelby (Amber) Fisher and Matt (Merissa) Fisher; mother, Carolyn Fisher; siblings, Sheryl (Rick) Fisher-Stowe and Darla Des-Neiges (Louis) Schiern; former spouse and his children's mother, Susan Fisher.

Scott was a good friend to many and always willing to provide a helping hand. He enjoyed fishing, cooking, raising his puppies, and could always be found cheering on his beloved Minnesota Vikings. His most cherished times were the ones spent with his family.

To honor Scott and his love of the Minnesota Vikings, his family encourages you to wear your favorite sport's team attire to his memorial visitation that will be held from 1:00PM - 3:00PM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Saturday, November 11, 2023. The family will direct memorials with time set aside to share your favorite memories of Scott at 2:00PM.
