John Joseph Disalvo

John Joseph Disalvo, age 76, passed away peacefully at CHI Health Mercy Hospital on August 6, 2023.

He was born November 20, 1946, to the late John L. and Dorothy J. (McDowell) Disalvo in Council Bluffs, IA. John graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School and then proudly served his country in the United States Navy. John served on the Council Bluffs Fire Department and later worked security. He was also a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus and the Elk's Lodge #531.

John is survived by fiancée, Linda Queen; children, Samuel Disalvo and Daniel (Jeannie) Disalvo; step daughter, Melissa Queen; siblings, Mervin (Becky) Disalvo and Virginia "Ginny" (John) Case; grandchildren, Amelia Disalvo and Kiara Queen; nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of other family and friends; honorary sister, Memory (Richard) Mescher.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM with recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 PM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 09, 2023.

Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Thursday, August 10, 2023. The family will direct memorials.
