John N. Koenig

John Neils Koenig Age 79 of Council Bluffs, IA passed away May 15, 2022. He was born in Council Bluffs, Iowa on December 3, 1942 to Wilhelm and Mildred (Timm) Koenig. He graduated from Underwood High School. John work for the Council Bluffs Fire Department for 27 years from January 1972 to June 1999. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilhelm and Mildred and brother, Bill. John is survived by his daughter, Brenda Koenig; sister, Virginia Walsh; brothers, George and Stan Koenig (Joyce), nieces, nephews, special friend, Laura Brauer; other family and friends.

Visitation: 9:00 to 10:30 AM with the Funeral Service beginning at 10:30 AM, on Saturday, May 21, 2022, at Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home.
Interment with military honors at Cedar Lawn Cemetery.
