Joseph Crane

Joseph William Crane, age 61, passed away December 14, 2023. He was born January 22, 1962 to William and Marilyn Crane in Denison, IA. Joe graduated from Oakland High School in 1980. He later went on to become a registered nurse where he performed his life's work in mental health and nurse management. During his thirty years of nursing, he was a very loving and compassionate nurse in various and diverse areas of nursing. He loved his community and enjoyed helping others and was a good neighbor and friend.

Joe enjoyed cooking, reading, going to movies with friends, family and being outdoors in nature. He liked the simple things of life. He treasured the time he spent his cousin Jean and her husband Scott Kruse in Cherokee, Iowa,

He is preceded in death by his parents, paternal grandparents Leslie and Helen Crane, maternal grandparents Paul and Josie Wingrove, his sister Leslie, his niece Paige.

Joe is survived by his sister, Kathryn Williams and her husband Ron of Emerson, Iowa; brother, Michael Crane and his wife Myrna of Pearl City, Hawaii; 3 nephews, Eric and Heather Adams of Vail, Iowa; Ben and Kirsta Adams of Vail, Iowa; Arthur and Stacy Adams of Vail, Iowa and one niece Sarah and Doug Weinbrandt of Charter Oak, Iowa.

Private family services will be held. Final resting place in Walnut Hill Cemetery.
