Joseph Walter Daniels

Joseph W. Daniels, age 21, passed away on October 13, 2018. He was born in Council Bluffs, IA on March 25, 1997.

Joseph graduated in 2015 from Thomas Jefferson High School. During his time at TJ, he started a fishing club. He worked hard getting sponsors and donations to be able to take kids fishing that weren’t able to normally go. He also played the bass and electric bass in the school orchestra, he started in fourth grade and continued until graduation. Joseph had a wide variety of hobbies, he loved hunting and fishing, cars, video games and amusement parks. As a child, Joseph had an interest in karate and that interest never wavered. All his hard work ended up with him earning his black belt. There was nothing more important to him than his family, spending time with them meant the world to him. Whether they were camping at Willow Lake, going to a concert or going to a hockey game with his fiancé, Kelsey, he just enjoyed spending time with the ones he loved. That also includes his beloved cocker spaniel, Molly, and his bloodhounds.

Joseph loved life and lived it to fullest, he was compassionate doing whatever he could to help someone, he was witty and loved cheesy one liners. He was always smiling and joking. Joseph has always been a leader, when he learned karate he walked kids that were bullied to class so no one would pick on them. It's unfortunate for those who will never get a chance to meet such an amazing unique person who walked to the beat of his own drum.

Joseph is survived by his fiance, Kelsey Wagner; parents, Jason and Mary (Phares) Daniels; brother, J.C. Daniels (Ashton Rhodes); sister, Megan Daniels; maternal grandparents, Rod & Becky Phares; paternal grandparents, Bill & Denise Daniels; aunt, Kristi Schupp, and a host of other family and friends.
