Josephine M. Cavanaugh

Josephine M. Cavanaugh, age 84, passed away June 6, 2019.

She was born in Emerson, Iowa on September 1, 1934 to the late Zenus and Mabel (Thomas) Jagger. Josephine retired from the Council Bluffs School System as a teacher's aide and was a member of First Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her infant twin sister, Jacqueline; infant brother, Arnold; and sister, Arvella Camp.

Josephine is survived by her husband of 62 years, Jimmy Cavanaugh; children, Mark Cavanaugh (Peggy), Diana Turnbeaugh (Fred), Vicki Cavanaugh; 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Memorial visitation is 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday June 13, 2019 at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Memorial service is 11:00 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Inurnment will be later that afternoon in the North Grove Cemetery near Hastings, Iowa. Memorials are suggested to First Baptist Church.
