Joy Colwell

Joy L. Colwell, age 86, passed away at his home on September 7, 2024.

He was born December 9, 1937, to the late Homer and Helen (Russell) Colwell in Council Bluffs, IA. Joy proudly served his country in the United States Navy and sold real estate at Key for many years.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, Arthur Jensen, Roger Colwell, Marcene Miller, and Irene Colwell.

Joy is survived by his wife of 64 years, Marilyn Colwell; daughters, Penny Bernal, Shelly Lawson, Kimberly (Patrick) Bowen, and Kelly Wegner; siblings, Janet Lake, Norma Colwell, and Linda Madsen; grandchildren and great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Monday, September 16, 2024.

Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 PM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Monday, September 16, 2024. The family will direct memorials.
