Julia Ann Barker

Julia Ann Barker, age 99 of Council Bluffs passed away Tuesday, November 7, 2011. She was born October 8, 1912 in Omaha, Nebraska to the late Frank & Julia (Verbickaite) Zikas. Julia worked for many years for Safeway Food Stores. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest G. Barker, Sr. Julia is survived by her daughters Ernestine ?Ernie? Murray & her husband, Jim; Rita Paproski; son, Ernie Barker; sister, Sophie Kochanowitz; 9 grandchildren, many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Vigil service will be Thursday at 6:00 p.m. at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home & Crematory followed by visitation with the family until 8:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will take place Friday 10:30 a.m. also at the mortuary. A reception will follow the service in the Hoy-Kilnoski Community Room and interment will be later that day in St. John?s Cemetery in Bellevue. The family will direct memorials.
