Karen Jo Hensley

Karen Jo Hensley, (KJ as her friends and family in Seattle, WA called her) age 72, passed away February 21, 2020.

She was born on February 5, 1948 to the late Ellis Voyd Hensley and Dorothy Virginia (Merrick) Hensley Vice in Omaha, Nebraska. She attended York High School in York, Nebraska. Karen married Melvin E Hoss in 1975 and divorced in 1983 when she moved to Seattle, Washington area. She moved to Council Bluffs, Iowa in 2011 to be closer to her family. Karen was a caring person, maybe which is why she worked most of her life as a health care provider.

In addition to her parents, Karen was preceded in death by her sister, Virginia Kay Hensley Taylor; brothers, Boyd Michael Vice; Keith LeRoy Vice and friends. She is survived by her sister, DeeDee (Diana) and husband Dan Prine of Council Bluffs, IA; half-sister, Pam Hensley Welch of Casa Grande, AZ; half-brother, David Hensley and wife Maureen of Bothell, WA; 2 nieces; 5 nephews; cousins and friends.

Memorial Service is 11:00 AM on Wednesday, February 26, 2020 at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Memorials may be directed to the family.
