Karen K. Larson

Karen K. Larson, age 75, of McClelland, Iowa passed away at her home after a hard fought battle with cancer on November 22, 2018, with family by her side.

She was born in Council Bluffs on April 22, 1943 to the late Virgil and Irene (Kubelick) Turk. Karen attended Underwood High School and was employed at Tip Top for 20 plus years as a supervisor. Then worked at OTC as a team leader.

Karen enjoyed gardening, flowers, spending time with her grand kids and great grandkids, traveling and watching western movies. One of her biggest joys was baking for her family and friends. One of Karen’s greatest qualities was her ability to care for others. She always was involved in the support and care giving of her family.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son, Brian Larson; sisters Beverly Turk and LaDonna Parish; brothers, Edward, Gordon, Wayne and Larry Turk; infant grandchildren, Joshua and Jade Larson.

Karen is survived by her husband of 57 years Dave Larson, daughter Cheryl Spencer (John); daughter-in-law Kim Larson; sisters, Connie Wise and Virgilene Koenig: grandchildren. Jesse Spencer (Stephanie), Luke Larson, Alicia Larson and Breanne Wood (Jake): great grandchildren, Bailey and Leighton Wood, Zoey Spencer, Carmella and Ramsey Driver.

Visitation is 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Funeral service is 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Interment is in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will direct memorials.
