Katherine A. Herrick

Katherine A. (Riedinger) Herrick, age 90, of Council Bluffs passed away March 28, 2015. She was born in Belgrade, Nebraska on April 24, 1924 to the late Frank and Anna (Milotz) Riedinger. She proudly served her country in the United States Army during World War II. Katherine was a member of Fifth Avenue United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister, Doris McCauly; brothers, Franklin and Lambert Riedinger; son-in-law, LeRoy Franks. Katherine is survived by her husband of 68 years, Dean Herrick to whom she married June 13, 1946; daughters, Deana Ilderton and her husband Al, Ellen Franks; sons and daughters-in-law, Gary and Janie Herrick, Ron and Maureen Herrick; 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Visitation is Tuesday 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Funeral service is Wednesday 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment is in the Walnut Hill Cemetery. The family will direct memorials.
