Katherine Rose (Clark) Guevara of Lynn, Massachusetts passed away, May 11, 2014. Katherine was born in Omaha, NE on June 1, 1988 to Robert and Kimberly Clark. She was named after her two great grandmothers. She loved the name Katherine, but to her family she was Katie. Being in a military family, Katie lived in Iowa, Nebraska, California, Hawaii, and South Dakota. Katie graduated from Boston University in 2010 with a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. B.A., While attending Boston University, Katie met the love of her life, her amor, her babe, her misa, Jose Guevara. Katie and Jose were married August 18, 2012 in South Dakota but it was back to Boston where they would make it their home. Katie worked at Genetic Services as a project manager. She got totally involved with the work and the research she was doing. We remember it as doing a lot of work with fruitflies, but it was really much more involved. Lets just say she had to simplify it down; her descriptions of the job were fascinating to listen to. Katies passions ran deep and many. Whatever she did, she did it well and with an intense fervor: running a half-marathon, swimming, and decorating their new house. Jose is the chef, Katie the baker. When visiting family, they cooked most of the meals. Their culinary skills could not be beat. Katie had a soft spot for animals and adopted Jade from the animal shelter, the gentlest pitbull you will ever find. Jose, Katie and Jade took many walks together, with Jade being somewhat stubborn. Jade was the perfect match for Katie. If you were to look in her house, you would see hundreds of pictures and several scrapbooks and journals of what else-her family. Katie loved to organize and plan family get-togethers. She was the one that made it happen, the one that you could count on to be there no matter what. Her nephews and nieces loved the many sleepovers and Katie totally spoiled them when she had them with her. Katie is survived by her husband, Jose Guevara, parents - Robert and Kimberly Clark, brothers - Kyle (Breana) Clark, Kent (Cheryl Villars) Clark, Kurt (Michelle) Clark, grandfathers - Henry Svoboda and Robert Anderson, grandmother - Wyonia Clark, mother-in-law, Maria Guevara, sister-in-laws - Yesenia Sorto, Nohemy Guevara, Selena Sorto, six nephews and three nieces, many aunts, uncles and cousins. Katie was an amazing, talented and beautiful young lady who made a difference wherever she went. She cared deeply, loved and lived to the fullest. She is now at peace and in the arms of her Heavenly Father. Welcome Home! We are the very, very lucky ones to have had Katherine, our Katie in our lives. Visitation will begin on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. with a service to begin at 11:00 a.m.. Interment is in the Memorial Park Cemetery followed by a reception in the community room at Hoy-Kilnoski. Memorials are suggested to the family.
