Kathleen A. Carlson

Kathleen A. Carlson, age 69, passed away October 11, 2016 at CHI Bergan Mercy Hospital.

She was born in Council Bluffs on June 20, 1947 to Roy E. and W. Darlene (Wilson) Fernley. Kathleen graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School and then retired from Mid American Energy. She had been a Girl Scout Troop Leader. Kathleen taught Sunday school and was a youth leader at the First Baptist Church in Albion, Nebraska where she’d lived for a number of years.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Kathleen is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Doug Wright; sons and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey and Valerie Carlson; mother, Darlene Fernley; siblings, Dennis Fernley, Janice Hopkins (Jim), Douglas Fernley (Lauri), Connie Stanford (Darrell); grandchildren, Jacob, Matthew, Jennifer and Rebecca; nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of other family and friends.

Visitation is 3:00p.m. to 5:00p.m. on Sunday at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Funeral service is 10:00a.m. on Monday at the funeral home. Interment is in the Ridgewood Cemetery. The family will direct memorials.
