Kathy Peters

Kathy Anne Peters (Boulden) Council Bluffs, IA died in Omaha, NE on November 17, 2023.

Kathy was born on November 17, 1951 to biological parents Kay and Lavern Osburn in Sioux City, IA. After graduating high school, she joined the United States Air Force in 1970. While serving her country, she was stationed in Illinois and then went to Germany. After leaving the military, she vacationed in Hawaii and then moved to Omaha, NE where she was adopted by Dorothy and Jack Boulden at 21 years of age. She later in life lived with long time roommate Ann (Dusty) Lange. Kathy adopted daughter Sadie (Boulden) Gerdes as an infant, and together the three of them enjoyed the Omaha Henry Doorley Zoo, Durham museum, and spending time with family and friends. In her early retirement, she cared for her grandchildren, whom she loved so much. In 2016, she met and married the love of her life Marcus Peters. On the weekends in the fall you could hear her cheering for her favorite football team The Kansas City Chiefs, or GO BIG RED for the Huskers! She loved watching Lifetime TV and Murder She Wrote was a classic favorite of hers. Kathy lived a simple, but yet very full life. She loved spending time with family and friends over everything.

Kathy was preceded in death by biological parents, Kay and Lavern Osburn; mother, Dorothy Boulden and father, Jack Boulden; brother, Duane Boulden and sister, Nancy Wheeler. She is survived by her husband, Marcus Peters; daughter, Sadie (Tyler) Gerdes step daughter, Angela (Tim) Arterburn; grandchildren, Raelynn, Ruxyn, and Rorik Gerdes and Lexi and Drake Arterurn; sisters, Judy Walker, Carol and Linda Bachand, Diane Wicklund; brothers, Dennis (Lynne) and David Boulden; mother-in-law Norma Peters and father-in-law, Bob Peters family and friends.

Memorial Service: 11:00 AM Monday, November 27, 2023 at Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home.
