Kay Marie Hayes

Kay Marie Hayes, age 60, of Council Bluffs passed away at her home on June 21, 2014. She was born in Omaha, Nebraska on November 30, 1953 to James and Lillian (Hesser) Maack . Kay graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School with the class of 1972 and worked in payroll at Sapp Brothers. Together with her husband, their lives revolved around their children and grandchildren. They were T.J. Band Parents and she was passionate about her job at Sapp Brothers. She is preceded in death by her brother, Joseph Maack; mother-in-law, Charlotte Hayes; nephew, Mark Maack. Kay is survived by her husband of 41 years, James Hayes; sons and daughters-in-law, Christopher & Misty Hayes and Jeremiah & Shannon Hayes; parents, James & Lillian Maack; sister and brother-in-law, Janet & Terry Petersen; brother and sister-in-law, Robert & Cinthyan Maack; father-in-law, James Hayes; grandchildren, Jordan, Austin, Kaylie, Maja and Madison; a host of other family and friends. Visitation is Thursday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Funeral service is Friday at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment is in the Cedar Lawn Cemetery followed by a reception in the community room at Hoy-Kilnoski. The family will direct memorials.
