Keith Edward Pleake

Keith Edward Pleake, age 65 passed away February 14, 2012 at his home in Underwood, Iowa. He was born in Council Bluffs December 24, 1946 to the late Charles & Edith (Rickabaugh) Pleake. He graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School and then proudly served his Country during two tours in Vietnam in the United States Army and was awarded the Bronze Star. Keith attended and graduated from Iowa Western Community College with a degree in Welding. He worked at the VA Hospital in Omaha for over 20 years, retiring in 2005. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Charles Pleake and sisters, Shirley Clark, Geraldine O’Bradovich and Dorothy Stark. Keith is survived by his wife, Linda (Childers) Pleake to whom he married October 5, 1968; children, Scott Pleake (Kathy), John Pleake (Bridget), Christopher Pleake (Tisha), Ellen Pleake, Julie Pleake-Heywood; brother, Kenneth Pleake (Viola); sisters, Judy Johnston, Patricia Coyle (Dennis) and Margaret Oviatt; 9 grandchildren, Laura, Joshua, Jonathon, Macy, Kay-Lynn, Randy, Emma, Alexzander and Faith; 1 great grandchild, Carter and a host of other family and friends. Visitation is Friday 6:30-8:30PM at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home and Crematory. Funeral service will be Saturday 11:00AM at the funeral home with Celebrant Rod Ferry officiating. Interment is in the Garner Township Cemetery with Military Honors by American Legion Rainbow Post #2. A reception will follow in the Hoy-Kilnoski Community Room. The family will direct memorials.
